In addition to freelance writing and editing, Wesley currently serves as a contract senior commerce editor at The Spruce, where she edits shopping content focused on appliances, cleaning, organizing, and home tech. She was previously an associate commerce editor at Bustle Digital Group and content writer for Bravery Magazine. Before that, she helmed Brightly, a website centered on celebrating kids’ books and encouraging a love of reading in young people. Wesley began her career working in marketing and publicity for adult fiction and nonfiction books at a major publisher, and serving as an editor of Bushwick Daily, a Brooklyn-based news site.
Past freelance projects have included: developing content strategy for the Alzheimer’s Research & Resource Foundation, and developmental editing for individual authors and a major publisher.
She particularly enjoys writing and editing service-oriented content, broader lifestyle content, and children’s content.
